Jessica, is President for Green Mountain Alarm Company with extensive professional experience in the life and property protection industry.  Her career spans two decades and two coasts; having gained invaluable knowledge in large and small-scale projects.  Her career in the low-voltage industry began in 1999, running administration, project and field coordination, and serving a client-base of 7500 customers and 50 employees in the North Bay area of California.

Jessica’s, move to Vermont, in 2014 had her immediately immersed in extensive installation, design, and field work, allowing her to become one of a few women in the state who successfully passed the testing and certification process for Special Electrician/Low-Voltage Commercial Fire Alarm licensing.  Jessica, was one of a two-person team who met the needs for a large, commercial fire alarm upgrade at the historical First United Methodist Church, in which she earned an honorable publication in SDM magazine.

Jessica, has extensive manufacturer training, certification, and continues her education regularly in learning about up and coming trends and products.  Prior to the alarm industry, she was involved in Loss Prevention and Standing Guard contracts with SaveMart and Safeway stores on the west coast.  She has successfully passed several live-scans, FBI background checks, and has a clean DMV record spanning her entire tenure as a driver.  

She is an active-duty, on-call firefighter in her hometown of Essex Junction.

Cody J. Carpenter, Executive VP of Operations

Cody, serves as Executive Vice President of Operations for Green Mountain Alarm Company with extensive technical  experience in the life and property protection industry.  His career spans two decades and two coasts; having gained invaluable knowledge and field experience in large and small-scale projects.  He has had the honor of working on life safety systems for famous wineries such as Korbel Vineyards, Sutter Home Winery, and Sterling Vineyards, to name a few.

His career in the low-voltage industry began in 2000 as an entry-level installation technician.  Cody, quickly moved up the ranks and within 4 years was the top-performing Operations & Service Manager over 12 other branches throughout California.  Cody, was one of two technicians sent to be Notifier factory trained and certified in Connecticut in 2012.  His impressive listing of manufacturer training and certification boasts 45 different courses; including AutoCAD Advanced and Dale Carnegie training.

Cody, moved to Vermont, in 2014 and was responsible for breathing new life into the commercial fire alarm industry in Vermont, installing several cellular communication radios which are listed and approved through NFPA 72.  This helped many Vermont businesses eradicate the need for expensive POTS lines for their commercial fire alarm communication.  Cody, also successfully co-managed the commercial fire alarm upgrade at the historical First United Methodist Church, and was mentioned several times in SDM magazine’s publication for this project.

Cody, holds Low-Voltage licenses in both California and Vermont.  He is NICET IV test-ready, as well as in the process of pursuing his electrical lock license in the state of Vermont.  Cody, is thoroughly background tested with high-level clearance and carries a clean DMV record.

Cody, also serves as an on-call Firefighter for Essex Junction.

Miles Fawcett, Owner and Managing Member

Miles, is an expert in physical and information security with a focus on K12 School Security as well as general commercial and residential risk mitigation. He is a Master Electrician in the District of Columbia and NICET certified electronic fire systems expert. In 2004 he founded Urban Alarm where he is committed to community based security in the Washington DC metro area.  In May 2016, he opened up the sister branch Green Mountain Alarm, in Essex, Vermont.

Prior to Urban Alarm Miles founded iapps in 1994 creating an organization that uses Internet technology to effect social change. His leadership has guided iapps to work with over half of the top twenty foundations in the US and win close to a hundred awards for design, business, and workplace innovation.

In 2005 iapps merged with Bridgeline Digital where Miles took a leadership role in technology and operations as an Executive Vice-President and Chair of the Technology Committee. Miles worked with the executive team to successfully take Bridgeline Software public on the NASDAQ stock exchange in 2007.

An active painter, photographer and documentary filmmaker, he has produced a number of films, including one on a unique subculture of retirees who travel the United States in Airstream Travel Trailers. His art has been featured in many venues including the Corcoran Gallery of Art and private exhibitions in Washington DC.

Miles, graduated from the Park School of Communications at Ithaca College. He has served on the faculty of American University Graduate School of Communications, and the jury of Computerworld Smithsonian Honors Program. He is a participant in Renaissance Weekend, a member of Young Entrepreneurs Organization, the Overseas Press Club of America, and The {Motion Picture} Producers Guild of America. Miles was born in Washington DC and travels frequently to his summer residence in Vermont, where he continues to live with his wife and two daughters.
